Poem by Kitina

The wonders of trees

Trees are wonderful, trees are great
They don’t complain about the vine that drape.
Trees are quiet, they don’t say
That the day is ever bleak and gray.
They never say it’s just a great bore
To stand outside when the rain just pour
Trees just whisper with their leaves,
When they rustle in the wind of the evening breeze.
Trees give fruits that they will yield
And trees we grow in our own field
Trees have flowers, which will bloom
And fill with joy to the people who gloom
Trees have leaves that are green
And on the branches they hang and lean
And when the leaves become old and brown,
After some time they fall on the ground
Trees have roots that go right down
And into the soil of the ground
Trees have branches that will sway
An which it lets the children play
Trees are tall that they touch he sky,
And around the trees go the butterflies
Trees have many little seeds
That look like they are tiny beads
And when those little seeds are planted,
My wish will soon be granted
For my wish for everyone to plant many trees
So that our planet will soon be green!
